Privacy Policy

DJ Walk ("we", "our", "the app") is an interval walking app that matches music from your Apple Music library to your walking pace. Your privacy matters to us.

What we collect

  • Account data: Apple ID email (via Sign in with Apple). We may receive a private relay email instead of your real address.
  • Walking & health data: Step count, distance, walking cadence, and heart rate (average and maximum) during sessions. This data is collected via HealthKit and synced to our server to provide session summaries and improve the app.
  • Music playback data: For each session, we record which tracks were played (artist, title, identifier), along with skip/like interactions, BPM, and genre information. This is used to improve track selection and personalize your experience. Your actual music files never leave your device.
  • Subscription status: We store whether you have an active DJ Walk Pro subscription and which plan you are on. We do not store payment details.
  • Analytics: Anonymous usage events (session started, session completed, milestones) and device performance metrics to improve the app. No advertising identifiers are collected.

HealthKit

DJ Walk reads heart rate, step count, distance, and workout data from Apple HealthKit. This data is used solely to power app features (pace calibration, session summaries, interval timing) and to improve the app experience. We do not sell, share, or use your health data for advertising or marketing purposes. Health data is transmitted securely to our server and stored in accordance with this policy.

What we do NOT collect

  • We do not access your contacts, photos, or location.
  • We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising or marketing.
  • We do not use advertising or tracking SDKs.
  • We do not use your health data for any purpose other than providing and improving app functionality.

Apple Music

DJ Walk uses Apple MusicKit to read your music library and control playback. Music is streamed via Apple Music on your device. We never download, copy, or transmit your music files.

Data storage

Your profile, session data, health metrics, and playback history are stored in Supabase (hosted on AWS in the EU). Music metadata and BPM cache are stored locally on your device using SQLite. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (TLS).

Account deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the app: Me tab → Delete Account. This removes your profile, session history, playback data, and health metrics from our servers. This is immediate and irreversible.

Subscriptions

DJ Walk Pro is an auto-renewable subscription managed entirely by Apple. We do not store your payment information. You can cancel anytime in Settings → Subscriptions.

Children

DJ Walk is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
